It is no secret that our society continues to consume more and more energy every day. In the past the more traditional ways to get energy, was through the use of oil, wood, natural gas, and fossil fuels. We are already seeing the drastic effects that global warming can have on our environment, which is why it is so important for us to find alternative energy sources.
Once these energy sources are depleted, then our society will be in major trouble. Natural energy can be harnessed through the use of solar powered systems, which will cut down on global warming. Renewable energy can come in a variety of sources such as wind, water, sun, solid waste, and wood. Over a century ago, individuals strictly used wood as their source of energy. Is the change better or worse? Apparently, the choices we have made are hurting our planet so the change cannot be too good.
There is a very small percent of energy that is produced today, that actually comes from the sun. The government has put incentive programs in place to help with the cost of switching to a solar powered system. In fact, over half the cost of these systems can be paid for through these incentive programs and tax breaks that the government is granting. These programs are specially designed to help us become more energy independent as a society. They are also a way that more and more people can afford renewable energy sources.
The only time that a renewable source of energy is thought of being used is when the supply of fossil fuels begins to deplete, but at that time it may be too late. A green alternative is using a renewable source of energy to help preserve the resources on our planet.
Purchasing solar panels can be a costly investment, but as technology continues to advance the cost of solar panels will decrease. In fact, with the government incentive programs and technology becoming cheaper solar energy systems become more and more cost efficient.
Unfortunately, not all renewable sources of energy have been reliable in the past. Especially, if you consider the effects that rainy days and cloudy days can do to the production of solar energy. However, with new advances in technology this no longer seems to be a problem. There are a number of ways in which solar energy can be used especially with the new designs of solar panel building that help utilize the sun's rays to heat these buildings much more efficiently.
Besides solar heating systems there are also solar air conditioning systems available. Did you realize that your state is more than likely using solar energy in the streetlights around your city? Being able to invest in renewable energy sources will help your wallet as well as our society. There are several ways so that you will not have to invest a huge amount of cash into these systems and the benefits will always outweigh the cost. We all need to stop thinking about the present and begin thinking about the future of our planet.

Energy Solar System
I am sure you have heard the saying, “Go Green,” but do you probably are not sure on how this applies to you, and your surroundings? However, many individuals have embraced the idea and are defining a new way to live their lives. Going green means becoming much more environmentally conscious in the choices you make every single day in your lifestyle. It also means to drive a much more friendly fuel efficient car instead of those overly popular sports utility vehicles.
Going green also means picking organic products such as cleaners or products that are stored in recycled materials. For many individuals it means recycling, but there is so much more to going green. If everyone was to go green, then we would live in an environmentally friendly society.
Going green means utilizing our energy by using wind or solar power. These solar power systems have continued to increase in popularity, simply because of the technological advancements being made. Solar power systems have become much more affordable, especially, with the various incentive programs being offered by the government. These incentives come in forms of tax breaks and pricing discounts, which are given when you install an energy solar system in your home.
Energy solar systems can come in the form of photo-voltaic or PV. PV technology is how solar panels are used by generating sunlight into energy. The solar panels will absorb the sunlight, and then the electrons are released into a flow. This electron flow is transferred into power. This alternative energy source can be harnessed into batteries, which can be used later.
The higher the number of conductor cells that your solar panels have, then the higher the amount of energy can be produced. This energy is a type of DC energy that has to be transformed by using an inverter to turn it into an AC current, which is suitable for your home. Solar power energy can be used in a variety of ways to cool and heat your home as well as power any major appliances within your home.
The most popular type of solar panel system used today is known as grid interconnected systems or a grid-tied. Whatever power is left over can be easily inverted back into these grids or even sent to your local utility company. In fact, most utility companies will give you credit for each kilowatt-hour your produced for them. If you were to produce a very large amount of solar energy and do not have a need for it, then it is very possible that you can make money through the extra energy you have, because this energy can be stored in batteries.
For those individuals that prefer a more conventional system there is the stand alone panel available for them, which typically will rely on batteries to store any extra energy. This type of system is normally used in the more remote areas where roof solar panels would be an inconvenience. Solar panel energy is most definitely a going green alternative that anyone can choose.

Once the solar panels have properly generated the sun's light, then the energy that has been generated can be converted, so they can be stored in batteries. On cloudy and rainy days it is no wonder that your solar panels will not be harnessing as much energy as they would on a sunny day. One big advantage of solar panels is that they are basically maintenance free and are designed to last for years.
Durable materials are used to create solar panels, which are specifically designed to withstand the natural elements such as excessive winds or hail. Having an alternative source of power will help you save money, more so in this current economic recession. Using solar panels is one way in which you can go green with an inexpensive source of natural power.
The governments also have incentive programs for installing residential solar panels in your home. Solar energy can be extremely beneficial in helping to offset the cost of electricity and these incentive programs help make this investment much more affordable. It is always important that you check into your local home owner's association to find out about any regulations in your neighborhood. There may or not be restrictions in your neighborhood, but it is important to check before beginning to install these solar panels. There may even be laws within your state that prohibit you using these solar panels as an alternative energy source.

Solar panels have the ability to generate more than enough energy for your family’s needs. Once you have installed solar panels in your home you will no longer be within that group of neighbors who are constantly complaining about the rising cost of their energy bills. Solar panels are an investment that can last the lifetime of your home and it is the right choice for you to make.
These solar panels can save you money almost immediately once you have spent the time having them installed. Your investment will immediately begin to generate a return that you can clearly see by preserving the natural resources that we have for many generations to come.
To install solar panels residential, you will need to make sure what your home needs are. However, many are plagued as how do they know how much energy their family needs? Once you have figured this out, then you will be able to know exactly the size of solar panels that you will need to install in your home. Another factor you will need to consider is where these solar panels need to placed, in order to create as much energy as possible.
The majority of solar panels are designed so that they can be placed onto the roof of your home, but with today's technology there are no other options to choose from. In fact, solar panels can down be mounted in the ground, which can be moved as you see fit. The placement of your solar panels truly needs to be considered, because you do not want to place them in an area where there will be a lot of shade. Basically, solar panels can only operate properly when sunlight is able to directly hit them.

Solar Panels Energy
Since the beginning of time people have been using the energy from the sun by harnessing it. Through time the only thing that has changed is the way that individuals are able to harnessing the sun's energy. Today, there are two ways to harness the energy from the sun, which are passively and actively.
Solar energy that is harnessed passively is captured through the windows within your home as the sun beams down on them. There is a great amount of heat that can be produced this way, but most individuals do not realize that. On the other hand solar energy that is harnessed actively is captured through the use of solar panels, which can convert the sun's rays into usable energy. Converting the sun's rays into energy?
With the use of solar panels the sun's natural rays can be converted into energy that can run your home. I am sure you have seen a solar powered calculator and this concept works along the same lines. PV cells are used within the solar panels to turn this natural resource into a working resource within your home. When sunlight beams down on these solar panels the heat is absorbed into the tiny cells within the solar panel. The light and heat absorbed from the sun are instantly absorbed as natural energy.
This natural energy goes through a process where the natural electrons are broken separated, which when combined together can create a flow of energy that can be generated into energy. There is a tremendous amount of natural energy that can be harnessed from the sun to heat and cool your home as well as operate any appliances within your home. Solar panels are an alternative to high cost electric bills.
Solar energy can be achieved through the wind through the use of windmills, which many individuals still do. Do not be discouraged due to cost of solar panels and having to install them, because they can be made through materials within your home. In the long run solar energy will pay for itself. You would be surprised to learn exactly how much a small series of solar panels can generate so much energy.
The cost of solar panels have definitely decreased in the past couple of years, which has made it a more cost efficient way to create the energy needed to run your home. Solar panels can store much more power than individuals are actually able to use, which will most definitely save on your energy bills down the road.
One can only hope that power companies all over the world will begin using solar panels to generate energy, which would not only save them money, but us as well. The technology behind solar panels is quite easy to understand and the concept of creating solar panels from materials within your home is just as simple. It truly does make good sense for all individuals to invest in solar panels and installing them in our homes.
The benefits of harnessing our own solar energy to provide our homes with energy far outweigh the cost of paying for electricity each month. You will be able to generate much more energy than you will ever be able to consume and with the rising cost of energy it seems ridiculous not to look in to solar panel energy.

How to Install a Solar System
Everyone is talking about ‘Going Green’ or ‘How Big Your Carbon Foot Print Is’. All the citizens of this rock we call Earth are waking up and realizing we need to change. Not only change our environment but the way we live, especially our consumption habits.
Everything is disposable these days from diapers and latex gloves to soft drink cans even cameras have joined the disposable rank and file. Disposables and consumable are not just items; they are a way of life. We treat energy in much the same fashion. We think nothing of leaving a light on or our computer running all night. It’s safe to say many of the developed countries of the world have little regard for their use of energy let alone the saving of it. We consume power as if it will always be there. I have news for all of human kind;. much of the power comes from nonrenewable sources; coal, petroleum products and natural gas. These natural resources are dwindling at an disturbing rate.
If we examine all the sources of energy we find a few that are environmentally safe. Wind, water and solar power are continually renewable. We have seen the construction of wind farms around the country. The Hoover Dam is still one of the biggest power producers in the world. Then we have the sun, that nasty phenomenon that burns our skin, causes skin cancer and fries our crops when it doesn’t rain. Oh, the sun isn’t all bad, it creates the Aurora Borealis or northern lights and breath taking sunrises and sunsets. But, Mr. Sun does produce one thing that will benefit our planet for years to come. Solar power; it is by far our easiest and most renewable source of energy.
Solar power has been around for a while but, it has always been cost prohibitive in terms of equipment and installation. Even years of savings from electric and gas bills still doesn’t add up to enough to justify the cost of these energy efficient panels.
What many people don’t know is they can make these solar panels and install them without breaking the bank.
Solar do it yourself panels are easy to construct but, you have to get the materials list and instructions. The materials required for construction of these panels is minimal and reasonably priced. Many of the supplies you need you probably have in your garage or basement. And the few other items can be purchased at your neighborhood hardware store or home improvement retailer. Because these panels require basic materials, maintenance cost are low. These do it yourself solar panels can be assembled in a reasonable amount of time. Most home owners are surprised at how a small investment can produce such satisfying returns.
Once you master the solar energy coming into your home that power will provide you and your family with more power that they can consume. When you listen to your friends and family whining about their energy bills you can take pleasure in knowing you not only made a wise choice, but the right one.
The time and money you devoted to solar power will start providing returns within the first few weeks. You can also take pride in knowing that Solar do it yourself, is touching the future. You are creating safe, environmentally responsible surroundings for generations to come.
